Who can apply

Proposals may only be submitted by accredited institutions of higher education that offer undergraduate STEM educational programs resulting in certificates or degrees, and are designated as HSIs by the U.S. Department of Education. Additional track-specific criteria apply for Educational Instrumentation, requiring the institution to be a Primarily Undergraduate Institution (PUI) or located in an EPSCoR jurisdiction.

About this grant

The NSF HSI:ELPSE program aims to enhance the quality of undergraduate STEM education and increase recruitment, retention, and graduation rates at Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs). It supports projects focused on studying and improving student experiences in STEM courses, degree programs, and academic departments.
