About this grant

This program supports state, local, Tribal, and territorial prosecuting agencies to assign or hire qualified prosecutors to serve full-time or part-time as Special Attorneys or Special Assistant United States Attorneys. These cross-designated prosecutors investigate and prosecute assigned fraud, drug trafficking, human trafficking, and other crimes. The program is intended to strengthen investigative and prosecutorial capacity and expand intergovernmental coordination.
