Public agencies (including cities, counties, special districts, joint powers authorities, state agencies or departments, or other political subdivisions of the State of California), federally recognized Indian tribes, and eligible nonprofit organizations as defined in Government Code section 66905.9. Eligible geographies include the Lake Tahoe Basin.
The principal goal of the California Tahoe Conservancy's Proposition 1 grant program is to support implementation of the Lake Tahoe Environmental Improvement Program. For Round 3, funding is available for Stormwater Quality and Ecosystem and Watershed Management projects. The program provides support for multi-benefit ecosystem and watershed protection and restoration projects consistent with state priorities.
