Eligible Lead Applicants include community-based organizations, federally recognized tribes, and local governments. General eligible applicant types include Nonprofits, Public Agencies, and Tribal Governments.
STEP aims to address community residents’ transportation needs, increase residents’ access to key destinations, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Funding is provided for clean transportation and supporting projects in disadvantaged communities. Projects must center the knowledge and expertise of residents through all phases of design, implementation, and evaluation.
